My favorite Aveda product? Shampure composition oil!

How long have you been a client at Christiaan and how did you end up here?

“I’ve been a client at Christiaan Lifestyle Salon & Spa for quite a long time. I think it’s been about 30 years now,” Monica says. “I used to live and work near the Nieuwe Binnenweg. When I walked by—the door is often open—it always smelled so nice. How wonderful is it to get your hair cut in a place that smells that good? The lovely scent I’m talking about is actually the scent of Shampure.”

How did you come into contact with Aveda’s products?

“I was curious about the scent, and that’s how I came into contact with Aveda’s products. I started using them right away. And to this day, I still use them!” Monica shares that she has quite thick and short hair, which seems to be turning gray more quickly. The products are very suitable for this.

“I also use Aveda from a business perspective. In my own company—the Blanco Institute—I brought this wonderful scent with me, so it smells just like it does at Christiaan. A very professional team of wonderful people together,” says Monica. “When I meet with Adri, we talk about developments in Rotterdam, sustainability, about our children, but also about the latest discoveries in quantum physics. I get advice about running my business, and I call Adri to ask which photo I should put on my website. We can talk about spirituality and about golf. About vacations and (working) too hard. Of course, I don’t just come for a nice chat, but for me it’s so natural that my hair is always well cut and colored, we don’t even talk about that.”
